Overview
STATIChaus takes its name from the quiet certainty of staying put, helping a family finding their place and growing into it with security. It is a design that does a lot with a little, planned for a 15m frontage and a shallow depth, built for the budding family that intends to grow into the bells and whistles over time.
A generous open living, kitchen and dining anchor the ground floor, with a study, double garage and outdoor dining, while four bedrooms and a second living space sit above. Tight, clean and logical, the plan leaves clear room to expand, with allowance for a future balcony over the garage, future-proofing built into the bones.
Aesthetically, STATIChaus reaches for the classics: the home among the gum trees with lots of plum trees. The gable roof speaks the language of the homestead and the barn, an entry porch greets the street and a verandah holds the rear, shapes we know in our bones and settle into without thinking. It belongs as easily on a rural block as a suburban street, carrying the life that comes with it: kids kicking a ball in the yard, friends over for a barbecue, a workshop in the garage.
